Bulk HEIC → JPG on Mac with Shortcuts

One‑time setup, then right‑click a folder of HEICs and get clean JPGs automatically.

Create the Shortcut

  1. Open Shortcuts on macOS → New Shortcut.
  2. Add “Get Selected Finder Items”.
  3. Add “Convert Image” → Format: JPEG; Size: Keep Original; Preserve Metadata: On.
  4. Add “Save File” → Destination: Same Folder (or choose output folder).
  5. Enable “Use as Quick Action” in the Shortcut settings (Finder).

Use it

  • Right‑click a folder of HEIC files → Quick Actions → Your Shortcut.
  • JPGs appear next to originals, preserving names.
  • Optional: add “Delete Files” step to remove originals after conversion.
